Where was I?
Hello Reader, you might notice that I have been on a very long hiatus. I last wrote in a hot summer and it is now fall. Don’t worry, I still write! I write for the research team for a new community I have co-founded here: Fintech @ GT. I never thought running a new organization would be so exhausting but it has been all-consuming. If you like fintech or tech more broadly, or if you just want to support me, you should subscribe to our website letter or our substack letter (linked below). Thank you, I appreciate every piece of support.
I will be less active on this letter and my writing will probably be more unstructured like this Twitter thread: A short rant on scientific ontologies. In the near future, I might turn to sharing resources I like rather than writing a lot on my own - this way, I get to share what I love while maintaining a semblance of regularity. For example, if you have been a longtime reader, you will remember my post on Mojo, a new programming language:
Well, Mojo is now generally available to everyone and it is living up to the hype. As with any new language, documentation is sparse and community support is stretched as it takes time for people to coalesce around something new and shiny. That said, the docs are a good starting place - Mojo documentation - and I will have more to report as I learn the ropes with this language. Until then, thank for you being a reader and enjoy the season of pumpkin spice (and flu).
